Co-Creation Cafés

Join forces around shared issues

Break bread, share ideas, join forces!

The Humanities Action Lab Hub is partnering with Hunter’s School of Arts and Sciences on a series of workshops exploring how Hunter faculty can work together to tackle critical issues of shared concern.   We’ll explore opportunities for collaboration across departments and schools, with local community organizations, and with college-community partnerships in sister cities across the HAL coalition.  Convenings will explore:

  • how to build community and collaboration among faculty and organizations doing work in 3 critical arenas:  mass incarceration and immigrant detention; climate and environmental justice; and urban renewal
  • how Hunter faculty and community partners can showcase their work and stories through Humanities Action Lab national projects
  • how Hunter faculty and community partners can connect with college-community partnerships in sister communities across the HAL coalition
  • strategies and principles of co-creation:  what do equitable faculty-community partnerships look like and how can we build them?
