
“Getting Well, Together: Combatting common challenges to our collective well-being” was an event of the Humanities Action Lab Free School. The Free School is a collaborative learning space that has grown out of the Rutgers University-Newark course “Newark Community Activism.” Together community organizers, local residents, and Rutgers faculty & students create workshops addressing shared needs by building on their collective knowledges and resources.
The event featured the following student- and community-led workshops:
- Fitting in Physical Fitness
- Caring for the Generational Self
- Challenging Isolation
- Overcoming Procrastination
- Media and Men’s Mental Health
