Come put your hands in the soil and connect more intimately with what we eat, where it comes from, and how we can collaborate with our neighbors and loved ones to change our collective relationship to food. Together we’ll learn how to make seed bombs, gather new recipes, hear stories from Newark’s soil and be stewards of the land on which we live and depend!

This program was an event of the Humanities Action Lab Free School. The Free School is a collaborative learning space that has grown out of the Rutgers University-Newark course “Newark Community Activism.” Together community organizers, local residents, and Rutgers faculty & students create workshops addressing shared needs by building on their collective knowledges and resources.
